Bio: Dr. Njoroge is a lecturer at the department of Tourism Management. He holds a PhD degree from the University of Hamburg, Germany. His PhD thesis title is‘Tourism and Climate Change: Regional Tourism Sustainable-Adaptation with a case study of Mombasa Kenya’. He is a pioneer in Tourism and Climate Change Nexus research. Dr. Njoroge also holds a Master of Science in Tourism and Hospitality Management and Bachelor Degree in Hotel and Hospitality Management (First Class Honours) from Moi University, Kenya.

Dr. Njoroge has vast experience in tourism and hospitality operations both locally and abroad. Locally he trained in hotel operations in various hotels including Alliance Safari Beach Hotel in Diani, Sarova Stanley Hotel, Nairobi and Hotel Academia in Eldoret. Abroad he has worked for Omena Hotels, Radisson, SAS, Holiday Inns all in Helsinki Finland. Since 2010 he has been teaching tourism and hospitality management courses at the university level.  He has also been involved in research and consultancy work.

Therefore, with his great industrial orientation through advanced management and research training, consultancy, voluntary work both in industry and teaching. Dr. Njoroge brings great deal of expertise in the department.
