Ethics & Integrity

Murang'a University of Technology (MUT) attained full-fledged University status having been awarded a Charter in October 2016. The University Management acknowledges the need to abide by government anti-corruption policies and procedures as per the Constitution of Kenya 2010, Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Act (CAP 65), the Public Officers Ethics Act (2003) and the Code of Conduct and Ethics among others. In order to safeguard the Institution from any corrupt practices that may occur, the University  College has developed the Anti-Corruption  and Whistle Blowers Policies, which contain clear guidelines on corruption prevention measures to help staff, students and the general public on how to handle any corrupt cases wherever they occur for the betterment of society.

In compliance with its Anti-Corruption Policy, the University established a Corruption Prevention Committee (CPC) chaired by the Vice Chancellor. While constituting Corruption Prevention Committee, the University ensures that members appointed are of high integrity. Integrity Assurance officer trained by EACC is the secretary to Corruption Prevention Committee.
