Murang’a University of Technology offers accommodation to first years on a first come first served basis. We have limited accommodation spaces on campus, however, there are recommended hostels off campus that students can stay in during their studies within the university.
The university has 1,118 spaces for students ( 600 ladies and 516 gents) and more options of residential hostels that provide students with a spacious living environment during their stay at the university and it’s environs. There are recommended hostels which are listed in the university website and one is encouraged to visit the facilities before booking. The university hostels come complete with a kitchen, student cafeteria, and janitors office. They are manned by security personnel with a security office, which is located inside the university.
Every unit will be occupied by 4 students per room. Each room is about 1180 sq-feet of range, which consists of shared wash rooms, and shared bathrooms. The hostels are equipped with CCTV 24 hours a day for security.
