The academic and athletic abilities of Murang’a University of Technology have reached new heights through their latest achievements. The University demonstrated its ability to excel when competing at the Central Conference and National competitions through its performance which displayed athletic skills and mental strength and team collaboration across various sports.
🏀 Basketball Success
The Men’s Basketball (5×5) Team won the Central Conference title after achieving the top position among 11 participating universities. Their victory earned them the honor of representing the Central Conference at the National Competition hosted at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
⚽ Soccer Achievement
The Men’s Soccer Team achieved 1st place in the Central Conference after defeating 11 universities which allowed them to compete at the National Competition. These results demonstrate that MUT excels in competitive team sports.
🏉 Rugby Excellence
The Women’s Rugby Team achieved an impressive 2nd Place Nationally. The team members received medals to honor their outstanding achievements. MUT recognized its exceptional performance when one of its players received the Best Women’s Rugby Player award at the National Playoffs. She won two major individual awards.
🥋 Karate Performance
The Men’s Karate Team displayed their skills through their National competition performance which resulted in a 3rd place finish, bringing yet another achievement to MUT.
